"The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly. There is no parking-- that's just how Cinque Terre is, so it's not the fault of the hotel. It's a fairly steep uphill climb anywhere in Manarola, and getting to this room was uphill all the way. We very much liked the room, however, and would stay there again. The only real complaint we had was that we paid for our clothes to be washed and got them right before departing. They were still damp and were going to smell like mildew before we got a chance to wear them in our next travel location, so we had to stop at a laundromat and wash them all over again (so our original washing expenditure with the hotel was wasted money). One other note: there is a steep set of winding stairs to get to the "Cave" room downstairs. So if you have problems with stairs or lots of luggage, be prepared."

"The view was absolutely spectacular. The check in process was very smooth. There were 5 floors including the roof, which made it feel spacious enough for a group of 4. It could have used a little more TLC as it was dusty, cobwebs, and a scent of mold as you first walked in. I attribute that to it being very hot as you walked in, which is why I’d recommend having the AC put on before arrival to cool it down ever so slightly. The host was attentive and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again."

"Giovanni is a good manager. The room was clean and the view was nice. However it's right on top of the hill. finding the address is not easy as the entrance is in a narrow back alley, it is a sharp uphill and the place has a tight stairs that are not suitable for heavy luggage. Younger folx may enjoy it more."

"We had a lovely stay in Volastra. The private parking was a huge bonus, especially since parking in the surrounding towns can be difficult to find and expensive. The property is beautifully situated on top of the hill, with a peaceful atmosphere and easy access to the surrounding area. Antonella was wonderful and so welcoming! She gave us helpful recommendations for walking down to Manarola, including the bus schedule for getting back up the hill and where to buy tickets for less than paying directly on the bus. She even offered to make us a coffee at 6:30 AM when we had an early checkout and couldn’t stay for the included breakfast, which was such a thoughtful gesture! She speaks French as well. A great spot to stay if you decide to visit Conque Terre, as I heard that you can also buy train tickets from her for cheaper."
