Hivehomes George's Arabica, Robusta and Liberica are cottages located in a 4.5-acre property with rotational plantations. The Kabini river flows 100 meters away.

Space

The cottage is located in a 4.5-acre property with rotational plantations like ginger, tapioca, yam, etc along with rubber and coffee and scores of Mahagony trees in a village called Bavali near the town of Katikulam about 10 km from Mananthwady. The property is just off the highway at the entrance of Kerala on the Mysore-Mananthwady Road.

Guest Access

The Cottage has a single bedroom with a double cot, a living room with necessary furniture and a kitchen. The bedroom has an attached toilet.
The kitchen is equipped with necessary utensils, refrigerator, electric stove, etc which can be used for preparing a quick meal, snack or coffee if necessary.
Other minor facilities like water heaters, crockery, dish TV, bicycles, netted court, etc can make your stay comfortable and exciting.

Guest interaction

The caretaker and his family stay next door and are available for any help including food. Please note that food will be charged extra. It is our intention to provide you with a taste of the local palette, people and things and not groomed appearances. We hope you will appreciate the same.

There are many places in Wayanad that can provide you with a break from the maddening crowds and make you feel a oneness with the infiniteness of nature – its woods and animals. A ride in Wayanad will always help you encounter at least a wild elephant or deer, if not a bison or a tiger !!

The Neighborhood

Wynad District is a bio-diverse region spread across 2,132 square km on the lofty Western Ghats, Wynad is one of the few districts in Kerala that has been able to retain its pristine nature. Hidden away in the hills of this land are some of the oldest tribes, as yet untouched by civilization. And the very first prehistoric engravings in Kerala discovered in the foothills of Edakkal and around Ambukuthimala bear testimony to a pre-historic culture dating back to the Mesolithic Age. Strikingly scenic, it is known for its sub-tropical savannahs, picturesque hill stations, sprawling spice plantations, luxuriant forests and rich cultural traditions. A holistic confluence of wilderness, history and culture, Wayanad is located on the southern tip of the magnificent Deccan plateau.
There are two cottages which can house 2 guests each. You can also avail the facility of adding an extra bed on the floor.
