A return to MJ’s after 5 years, and the large, comfortable room, excellent breakfast, friendly staff and quirky decor were all as we remembered them from previously.. Great place to stay!

MJ's is a real gem in Malmö. The room was quiet and cosy and had everything we needed. The breakfast offering is extensive with many hot and cold options available - I also enjoyed the smoothies and juices. Staff were really helpful and knowledgable on the local area. 10/10, would recommend to a friend!

Breakfast was amazing, and general atmosphere very cosy. Excellent location aswell. However, the bed in our room was not what one expect from a hotel of this class. Simply not a good comfortable bed. Maybe the other rooms has better beds, worth to check with the staff when the room have been updated/renovated.

This was my favourite hotel that I stayed out throughout my Sweden, Denmark and Iceland trip! The design is really cool and pretty, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was amazing. I went for dinner and the food was so delicious and the staff were so lovely. The breakfast buffet was also the best I’ve had - everything was super fresh and felt more like I was eating in a nice cafe. The options were extensive, the eggs were fluffy, they had healthy options like roasted carrots. They made their own juices and smoothies. They even had their own pate! The room was very comfortable and clean, I loved the decor and the option to stream from my phone to the tv. Highly recommend this hotel.

I've been staying in MJ's for many years. I love the atmosphere - very unique and amazing, great staff, fantastic breakfast - food and drinks and also the atmosphere (breakfast by candlelight). Really friendly staff, so helpful, I asked for a kettle to make tea in my room and got one immediately. Most rooms are very spacious and well heated (floor heating in the bathroom) and the windows can be open. Flamingos everywhere, I particularly liked the one in my bathroom. Bar is amazing, lots of cocktails and really nice wine, incredible atmosphere. The only downside was poor internet, but I managed a zoom meeting every morning, except I had to sit next to the door..... Hope to be back soon.

Despite all the good reviews, sadly, our stay didn’t meet expectations. Compared to the price your pay per night, i didn’t find it satisfactory. We booked a basic double room. The springs in one side of the bed were broken, so it wasn’t comfortable to lay in that side. The mini fridge was broken, and despite saying this to the staff it wasn’t fixed during our stay. The staff were really friendly and pleasant though. Not the best experience sadly, however the hotel itself was really cosy, charming and had a special vibe to it, which is why we chose it. I’m sure many of the other rooms are fine(considering all the good reviews) and we were just unlucky, unfortunately. Probably won’t be back for another stay, we will most likely try another place next time.
