The reason for the low rating is due mainly to a mix up in the reservations that we have and how it was handled. We reserved two bedrooms apt, got only one, and also by mistake they overcharge me, and it took me two months and many phone calls and emails to get my money back. Also, we were there during the heat wave and their AC doesn't work that great and it does not go below 22...

There is major construction happening next door, so that was loud, and no AC, though we did find a window unit in the closet that saved the day. There were also stand fans. It is possible to take a funicular to the top of Monte San Salvatore, and to hike down from there. Count 4h to get to Morcotte, voted most beautiful village of Switzerland in 2016. From Moroctte, you can take the boat back to Lugano.

" The hotel is exquisite. My room, the junior suite, was moderately priced, and had a huge terrace with a lake view, as did the high-ceilinged room with a big arched window. Every detail was luxurious, and it was immaculate. It was nicer than most 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in. The breakfast was grand, the common sitting room was gorgeous, the staff was warm and helpful, and it’s just steps from the lake and the duomo. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. It helped make Como the highlight of my trip so far. "

My birthday was absolutely wonderful and they brought a fantastic brownie treat for my big day. Spa is a must, great massages and lovely spa to enjoy after. "Hotel Villa Fiori at Lake Como is simply wonderful. The view is absolutely stunning, one of those you never get tired of admiring. Breakfast was very good, with quality products and a pleasant atmosphere to start the day. A big plus is the flexibility for dining: you can enjoy a proper dinner at the restaurant or just get something lighter at the lounge bar, which is perfect after a day around the lake. Another great advantage is the plenty of parking space, which is not always easy to find in the Lake Como area."
