"Great hotel in the best location possible, the ocean is your pool. Staff are fantastic, understated, helpful, friendly. Room was a junior sea facing suite, loved it especially the balcony with glass railing. Breakfast had an extensive choice, everything was very tasty."

"We stayed at Candia Park for the last 3 nights of a delightful vacation in Crete where we sampled 4 different hotels. We had great expectations for Candia based on its appointment as a 4-star resort (and high cost) and the photos on Expedia. We were very disappointed and felt totally overcharged spending so much on a basic room with no amenities. The location is lovely and the grounds are nicely laid but the studio itself was outdated, extremely bare bones, and dark and musty with a patio facing another building. The bathroom had mildew that smelled so strong that we had to keep the windows open. Pictures on the website are totally misleading. Candia was also unwelcoming. At check in, the front desk politely sent us to our room with an emailed PDF to explain the grounds of the resort and what was available, leaving us confused about access to the beach. Very impersonal. We were given three very hard pillows for our three guests, nothing extra in any part of the room. No amenities at all. We did not eat at the resort. but it would have been impossible to cook in the little kitchen given the impractical utensils in the room (a ladle, a big fork and a bread knife). Such a contrast to the less expensive hotels we stayed at in Crete which, even when simple, were warm and had so many thoughtful personal touches. "

"Lovely, quiet hotel for a relaxing break with lovely views. The massage at hotel spa was an absolute bliss! Beach at hotel is pebbles but it did not bother us. Sun lounges with unbrella is for rent We had breakfast only option with a couple nice restaurants to eat. Walking distance to Agios town. Would definatly recommend."

"A beautiful week spent here - all staff wonderful,couldn't do enough to help, polite and pleasant, especially Maria our Mythica hostess and all of the Spa team. Everything/everyone is so relaxed and relaxing.... Yes, there are things to have a wee moan about if you want to (the All Inclusive is not totally all inclusive, which can be a bit tedious, the pool area is very small for the size of the hotel, but there is ample area down by the beach and seafront - we are late risers so not too fazed by it - a tip if you are, is to book a swim-up room). But everything good about this hotel far outweighs those factors - the location, the views, the staff, the food, the rooms, the Spa. Loved it."
