"The room was immaculate. I stayed in the tower, looking over the pool and have an ocean view which was definitely worth the upgraded price. The staff is so incredibly kind and genuine. I was overly impressed when I come back. I’m only staying here from now on."

"The windows in the suit do not have screens, and I talked to the hotel. They spent about 90 minutes in and out of the room and told me they cannot find the right size of screen for the windows. Also the carpet is very old and dirty and has a moldy and rotten smell, hurt my throat, and difficult to breath. Also all the window sills are very dirty. It is not in a livable condition. I talked to the front counter manager, and he finally go me a room on the last night. This room is a little better, it has window screen. However the room is still dirty: all the window sills are dirty and the shower room wall. For both rooms, I have to ask the hotel to come in to clean the window sills. "

"Not as advertised. The room and hallway reeked of smoke. They couldn’t offer the shuttle to airport as advertised. Doors did not lock to access the wing of the property. We had to switch hotels because of the false advertising and general conditions."

"Tough timing to arrive right after the bad storm. This area was hit hard and we can imagine the work it took to get all back together. Staff shortage affected housekeeping but the front desk was helpful and cheerful in providing fresh towels and other needed items. No internet service but we were compensated fairly. Good A/C in our room and comfortable bed. We appreciated the complimentary use of beach chairs, umbrella and cooler. Easy to drive out of the rain on Maui!! Would enjoy visiting again when Kohea Kai is bright and shiny!"
