"We stayed here for one night in a triple, which looked just like in the pictures. The room was fairly sparse with three twin beds, a tiny table and three stools, and a wardrobe. We came during the off-season when there were very few people in the hotel, so we had our hallway to ourselves. "I had a terrible experience with Villa 12 Guesthouse. I traveled a long way from US to Swiss (Villa 12 is on the border between Swiss and France), and had to work on the arriving day, so I got at the Villa 12 Guesthouse around 8:30pm, that is very normal time for a hotel/Guesthouse check-in time. But to my surprise, the main Gate of the Villa 12 is tightly closed, and the guesthouse building looks dark, did not seem there were people living in it. "Check in was easy. Take the elevator to the 6th floor & you will be in the lobby. This goes for if you enter in the parking garage or from an Uber/taxi. Breakfast was very good and many options. Great bar , a there was a really nice terrace to eat on or have drinks. Staff was so nice & helpful there was a very large grocery store in the mall area which had lots of premade food & you could grab water & drinks for the room. Would definitely stay again. Location is great, you can easily get into Basel."
