"We needed a New Year's escape to rest and reset after a busy year and this log cabin was exactly what we needed. We had a great stay from start to finish, enjoyed the beautiful garden surroundings, had a great pub lunch & enjoyed breakfast after checking out at the local bakery. Great hosts, great location, great cabin."

"Our experience was perplexing from the start, with directions so inadequate that we had to ask the way. When we arrived I was attacked by geese at large in the grounds. Despite profuse apologies from the owner's wife, and the geese then confined to a wired pen, the owner said he wouldn't be lectured, walking away when I offered some advice on the facilities. "The hut on the hill is stunning, as is the barn. The owners Mandy & David provided everything you could possibly need. Fresh white fluffy towels & dressing gowns/ eggs/ milk/ cake/ bread and a bed/ bowl/ leads& treats for our dogs. The hot tub was a wonderful temperature. The bed was comfy and the shower & loo brill. Both the hut and barn were decorated beautifully and all mod cons provided. The scenery was stunning & peaceful. Thanku to the owners soo lovely !"

"Accommodation was ok, the weekend was a bit of a let down due to the weather. The property was comfortable and we made use of the Hot tub. A bit of maintenance is required on the sinks in the bathroom and toilet they are loose. We went to the Star public house that was recomended and we were not disappointed. The owners are lucky having this property in such a nice area. Overall we had a good time"

"A lovely comfortable stay. Betty is not your average “Shepherds Hut”. It has central heating a great shower and a wood burning stove really heats the place. Great location, just away from a quiet road, so good access.. A short drive or walk down to the village- The Cross pub was amazing. Lovely cycling, walks on your doorstep. Taurus crafts and micro brewery on your doorstep and ideally located for other tourist visits. A peaceful haven. We hope to be back soon."
