"The hotel is easy to find and has a lot of car parking available. My stay was relatively short so I was unable to fully explore the grounds, facilities and amenities. This is an older property which could benefit from some updating and refurbishment. However, my room size was very large, the bed comfortable and bathroom very spacious. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, even escorting me to my room. The breakfast buffet was extensive and impressive but I did not have an opportunity to eat an evening meal in the restaurant. This hotel is a 25 minute walk into the centre of Coimbra but I did not find this a problem. Overall, this is a superior hotel in Coimbra and I will have no hesitation in returning again. My colleagues chose to stay in other hotels in the centre, which were not nearly as good or comfortable, so I was pleased with my choice."

"A well placed hotel for visiting the city. Lovely art deco designs are everywhere, and the hotel has real character. Arriving during a yellow warning heatwave, the air conditioning in the room made for a pleasant night’s sleep. Breakfast was quiet varied, with a hot food option in the form of bacon and eggs. The real highlight was the help we received from the hotel staff. They were engaging, and able to answer our queries about where places were, and how to get about using the public transport in and around the city. Certainly worth staying here."

"We stayed in a 17th century building and the room was really cool. There’s a big round style jetted tub in the room. That was also really nice after a long day of walking. My favorite part was breakfast brought to our room in a big basket."

"We stayed at the Junior Suite and the room was large and welcoming with a loft area and beautiful view. The hotel has a lovely outdoor garden setting restaurant, perfect for a glass of wine and a bite to eat after a day of sightseeing. And the location could not be better - a block away from the University Square. And the staff was very friendly and most helpful."

"Fabulous river view in an deluxe room (room 6) on floor 2 . Nice modern room with interesting features. If you have an early start, beware that breakfast is from 8.00am, and we had to order a breakfast box, which isn’t ideal; l have fed back that breakfast should start earlier from 6.30am for a continental style. Good location and next to the old town and main street"
