Lake Königssee is a natural lake south of Berchtesgaden in Bavaria and west of Salzburg in Austria. Königssee is the third deepest lake in Germany. It is also known as the cleanest lake in Germany. Only electric-powered (or man-powered) boats are permitted on the lake.

St. Bartholomä is a pilgrimage church located on a peninsula on Lake Königssee. St. Bartholomä can only be reached by boat or via hiking trails through the surrounding mountains.

"Excellent stay at the hotel, the room had a fridge and kettle. The only downfall is the surrounding streets, lots of people on drugs around central station and hotel area during the day. "
