"Lovely B&B"

"It was a lovely hotel. The staff were very attentive and helpful, particularly the gentleman who served breakfast. He made sure we were given what we asked for. The building is very old, with narrow stairs, so might not suit someone with more limited mobility. Also, I don't think there was free wi-fi, contrary to what it said on the booking. However, I would definitely stay there again."

"Unique experience to stay on castle grounds with view of castle from restaurant. Room included breakfast and entrance to castle - so great value!"

"As an overall experience it was a very pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and the room comfortable and well presented. Breakfast again was well presented and tasty. The only negative comment is that parking is limited."

"Beautifully appointed spotlessly clean room with very comfortable bed! Best hotel room in a long time. Staff were kind, helpful and attentive. I had the vegetarian breakfast and was so impressed at how fresh all the ingredients were and that the chef cooked the veggie sausages to perfection………..most breakfast chefs seem to cremate them! All in all a fabulous experience. "

"Beautifully furnished and quiet, very spacious room. Lisa is a consummate host and went to loads of trouble decorating the breakfast room to celebrate Easter. The breakfasts are fantastic too. There were only two small downsides: there is an electric charge point for EV's, but it obviously isn't used much and Lisa wasn't sure how to make it work. We managed about an hour's charge and had to go and find a charging point in town and sit in the car while that happened. It would have been perfect if...

"I stayed in the Love & Peace cottage. I initially was only staying a few days, but resulted in staying 3 weeks due to my father's health. Pat, the owner, was so welcoming and then so accommodating with the uncertainty of my length of stay. Going through a rollercoaster of emotions, Pat always made sure I was ok. "The lodges are spotless, spacious, well equipped and very well situated for many attractions. The included in-room breakfast was very generous and varied. Porridge, cereal, fruit yoghurt, croissants with jam and orange juice. Tea and coffee. There is a personal picnic bench outside the door to enjoy it in the sunshine with the birds singing. The pub did great food in a lovely dining room. -it’s perfect and we will come back soon"
