"Wonderful family-run hotel with excellent restaurant. Couple who run this hotel are friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the area. They speak fluent English, which was helpful. Our meal in the restaurant was the best we had during our trip and was made with locally-sourced ingredients. The hotel itself is a beautifully restored and updated building. The fact that it is adults only ensured a quiet, restful stay. Great Black Forest location with plenty of parking."

"What I especially liked was the ability to park on the property, with is in an outlying village of the Strasbourg metropolitan area, and bus it into the city - there's a regular service, takes half an hour, cost €2.50. It's a unique sort of property, an enclosed series of buildings, half-timbered in style, repurposed to local uses and tourism. The host is as brilliant as other reviews note - nothing too much trouble. "
