Camera Disclosure: There is a Snow Cam pointing away from the property to overlook the road for checking winter conditions. Additionally, a Ring Doorbell is installed on the exterior door near the driveway, focusing solely on the driveway area.
Winter Snow: The Bear Den is conveniently located near Highway 19, making it an easy drive—except during snowy conditions. In the event of snow, you will need to park your vehicle near Highway 19, where a streetlight provides illumination. From there, it’s a short walk (approximately the length of a football field) to the Bear Den. Please note that this may not be a suitable option for guests with mobility challenges or disabilities. While the state Highway Department maintains Highway 19 with 24/7 snow removal, secondary roads in Haywood County, including Skyway Drive do not receive snow removal services.
