"What a lovely hotel! It is located on a main street 5 minutes walk from the main train station. It's also only about 20 minutes to walk into the centre of Munich so is ideally situated. The rooms are very pleasant and housekeeping look after them extremely well. The highlight is the staff. Nika on reception was particularly helpful, pleasant and professional - a real credit to the hotel. All receptionists were welcoming and friendly as were the restaurant staff. We would highly recommend this hotel and would return."

"A clean, modernist hotel on easy transit routes through Munich. All warm wood, glass, mirrors, and steel, The Marriott eschews paintings or other artwork for sleek architectural interiors and puzzle box cabinetry, turning rooms into a masterful array of spaces and voids that feel disciplined, elegant, and very German. The bedrooms are very comfortable, dark and quiet; storage is generous and uncluttered; bathrooms are spacious, elegant, and well organized. 9.5/10 because the shower drain in our room wasn't fast enough to remove the **massive** volume of water the rain shower delivered, which caused some leakage at the glass door. The hotel's Italian concept restaurant, Assoluto Vineria, is far better than it needs to be to sate the international appetites of conventioneers and tourists. Breakfasts are actually worth the money one pays for them, and their dinners, either in the restaurant or in-room, proved to be delivered with the expertise, panache, and flavors you'd expect at a beloved independent. 10+/10. The hotel and restaurant staffs were uniformly helpful and unflappable, and jumped in to help each other when things got busy; a trait that's increasingly rare among teams anywhere. Bravo. 10/10. Overall, a great find amid the many faceless chain hotels in this bustling, cosmopolitan city."

"I went back and forth between giving this hotel 4 or 5 stars, and settled on 4 not because there was anything wrong, but because it just wasn’t perfect. I’ll get the less than good (there’s nothing bad about this hotel) out of the way first. It’s a bit of a walk from the closest train station which matters when your feet are tired from a long day of walking. It’s also a few miles from the city center and the train to the central station costs around 5 US dollars each way which can add up. The room was small and there’s no air conditioning or ice machine. The hotel does not hide this and it is typical of many European hotels. Just something to be aware of. The other issue is that there’s no restaurant nearby so make sure you eat before turning in. There is a supermarket close by though and that leads into the good. The room had a small microwave and a refrigerator which was very handy. The bed was very comfortable and the room fan did a decent job of keeping me cool enough while I slept (but I wouldn’t rely on it during the heat of summer). The shower was one of the best I’ve ever had in any hotel at any price. There’s no phone either, but with nearly everyone having a cell phone and the hotel offering free WiFi, it’s not much of an issue. If you’re on a budget that keeps you out of the heart of Munich and don’t mind a bit of a walk, then the Flag Meiller Garden could be for you."

"The room was very nice, comfortable and quite spacious. The hotel is located slightly outside the city centre, so walking into the centre takes around 45 minutes. However, the location is very convenient for public transport. The station is only about a 3-minute walk away, with several S-Bahn lines going directly into the city centre. The surrounding area felt very safe and pleasant, with a modern residential neighbourhood and grocery shops nearby. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was good, and overall the room and the stay were very enjoyable."
