Cute, central

The property was cute, centrally located, with a grocery store less than a block away, and a spectacular buffet breakfast across the street. The apartment was cleanish, although the floors did not appear to have been mopped and were dirty. Paola was kind and accommodating when I was able to get ahold of her. Email communication was not responded to. The a/c in one of the bedrooms was not working and the room was HOT and not sleep able without it. I called to report the a/c was not working as was told a maintenance person would be by in the morning, yet never heard back. Luckily we know a little about home maintenance, climbed a chair and learned the a/c did not turn on with the remotes but could be turned on manually; but we could not adjust the temp or easily turn off/on without a working remote; so the a/c stayed on full blast the whole time. Overall, because we knew how to maneuver the split a/c manual override, the stay was fantastic. I do wish email communication was responded to as it would have mediated a LOT of stress before arriving.
