"When we got there to check in, my kids were talking about the pool and excited to go swimming, got the room key went and changed, got down to the pool and it was closed and drained. Would've been nice for them to say something prior to check in, considering they heard my kids talking about swimming. They did refund my money, but with an attitude."

"Clean room. Parking good early, have to park in Casino garage late. Would not allow us to check in before 4 pm no matter what. Had to leave and come back 20 mins later to check in. Nice staff just very rigid about check in time."

"Room and place in general could have been cleaner, there was a smell throughout which was kinda musty. Checkin was with a kiosk, not a person, which was weird. We attempted breakfast but it was not edible. Glad we were stopping through for a few hours of sleep only, would not have wanted to be there any longer."

"This hotel is a dump, the rooms are old and dated. the lobby smells like chlorine, fabuloso and 1970. The shuttle is old and beat up. not sure who is giving this hotel an 8 but it was not enjoyable."

Hotel Covington Cincinnati Riverfront

"The place is upscale and easy to feel comfortable in. Their wait staff was especially impressive. They know exactly the right amount of attention to give their guests. Food was great and there's tons of stuff to get into nearby. We had a lovely time."

Hillside Inn

"This place is absolutely not worth the money. Bed was incredibly uncomfortable, mold in the ceiling tiles, chipped/broken vanity counter top, and had a weird smell. Also, paid and picked a room that should have a river view. What a good joke. I could maybe see 6ft of river from the first floor balcony. I could have easily walked from my balcony to any other on the first floor because the ground floor roof is almost flush with the balcony. Needless to say, I will never be staying here again."

Embassy Suites by Hilton Cincinnati RiverCenter

"Embassy Suites has been a chain staple for my family of 4 as they are available in most cities and provide the room setup we need with at a standard we’ve come to expect. We’re not expecting luxury as we do when we stay at higher end places, but there are expectations. This location was a dump. Hilton should be embarrassed to own this in their portfolio. We stayed for one night on the return trip of a chicago to gatlinburg family road trip and i wish we just drove through or booked elsewhere. The embassy suites we stayed at on the way through Louisville to gatlinburg was excellent and this one was laughably bad. The room reeked of mildew and sewage so we switched to a room that smelled slightly less bad but still awful. The rooms were dirty with broken room elements, a wet carpet, black mold in the bathroom, pubes on the sheets. We skipped the free breakfast in the morning as there is no chance that the kitchen is safe and clean. Parking was confusing and Brian at the desk being friendly was the only thing saving a 1 star here. Do not book! This place needs a full overhaul/renovation or a wrecking ball through the front door. Awful stay!"
