"The picture you show was the owners 1st property and we could not access the property with my elderly family. When I called the owner, he offered me a second option of another property. That is the property I rated. It was very kind of the owner to accomodate us. It was a lit more driving than we intended but the accommodstions were much better for us."

"The location of King’s Kastle on Salmon Lake is excellent. The lake is wide at that point and offers great views of the sunrise, particularly from the upstairs master bedroom suite. The lake has less development than others where we have stayed in Maine. We enjoyed seeing loons, eagles, and osprey which are abundant. "Rustic cabin in a wonderful setting. Built by L.L. Bean when he was a young man, this is an historic cabin with a modern bathroom. We are fishermen and they have great docks available. We love the quiet, peaceful setting of this little cabin in the forest. Great hosts and great get a way. Fishing is good for smallmouth bass and Northern pike in this lake."

"We had an amazing stay at the property. It was stocked well with all of the essentials that make a rental house easy to enjoy. (Spices, oil, sugar, ziploc bags, extra toothbrushes, wireless speaker, etc.) We brought our 19’ bass boat and caught a few dozen smallmouth and largemouth bass around the pond. Swimming was easy and fun, with brownie points for the steps with handrail that led down into the water. We saw so many loon families and enjoyed their calls. Thank you for a great visit!"

"We enjoyed our stay at the cabin--everything was very clean and well organized, with coffee and tea, all the utensils and pots one would need. The beds were comfortable and there were lots of towels. We especially enjoyed the fact that there was a fire pit--lovely for a warm evening. We were able to get back and forth to Colby College in 30 minutes and had dinner in Skowhegan."

"Not only was the space perfect, but the owners made it that much better. Across the street there is a creek that is so fun to play in. They have an outdoor cooking area that protects you from weather but is so much fun to cook on. The screen room is for games and the humming birds are so silly to watch. There is a fire pit outside and an abundance of nature. The outdoor shower is relaxing too. The beds are so comfy and you have everything you need inside that place. We will be coming back here,...
