"We have stayed at the Vindel Motel for years, coming for the Richard Crane Memorial Semi Truck show in St. Ignace. We have always enjoyed our experience there. I understand it was sold and the new owners this year. Really miss the personal touches that were at the motel before. Like coffee pots, extra towels and conversation."

"Mackinaw Beach and Bay Inn and Suites shows signs of age, but it is located right on the water with a lovely view of Lake Huron. The room tvs are small, but the channel selection is excellent. It's about a 20 minute walk to the center of town where shopping for souvenirs is located, so the Beach and Bay Inn is quiet. Suites with balconies are spacious and have a marvelous view of Mackinaw Island in the distance. The refrigerator and microwave enable the guest to do some cooking. There is a...
