"I come home to visit my dad at least 2-3 times a year, and my preference has been this hotel and they haven't let me down yet. The staff is great, and the "free" breakfast helps me to start my day. When/if something goes wrong, the staff/team responds immediately. Keep up the great work!!"

"Please let me preface by saying my comments about weight are NOT meant to shame the person on question. We arrived at about 8 pm & entered the lobby for check in. Gave my name and ID. The employee had difficulty reaching his computer mouse due to size. In the process, mouse fell on the floor. The employee asked me to enter the locked area behind the desk. To assist him. It was after dark, so it was locked with a key pad. I did not want to cause him trouble, so I agreed. He verbally gave me the code, I entered the office, returned it from the floor, & placed it in his hand. I exited the staff area & locked the door behind me. We checked in as normal, but I did notify him that we were "sleeping in" and would not be checking out until 10:50 am. We planned to pass the time rearing at the going straight to the uni once registertion was open. Night was uneventful, other patrons were quiet & respectful. At 8:00 am, housekeeping banged on the door & entered without waiting for an answer. I told them we would not leave until 10:50 am. They returned. 3 times over the course of 2 hours. Each time I said I would be leaving town minutes before the official check out time. We verified the check out time was 11. However, we vacated the room at 10:05 am, after the fourth housekeeping employee banged on the door and entered without waiting. My concerns: •Security. Allowing guests behind the desk by giving out code is dangerous •Stafe forcing/entering rooms before check out without consent"

"Great place for a weekend. My kids love it. Melissa is a great host. It's a little spooky driving out at night for the first time but it's a lot of fun. We have stayed twice and would recommend! I recommend getting there before dark so you don't have a million bugs around the doors from the lights."

"We had a wonderful stay over the Fourth of July while visiting family in Mississippi. The property’s location in Ethelsville was perfect for us—it was only about 15 minutes from our family, making it incredibly convenient while still giving us a peaceful place to unwind.The house is beautiful and tucked away in the countryside, surrounded by nature. It was a nice change of pace from our usual scenery in Texas. Being right in front of the lake made it even more relaxing, and we really enjoyed the quiet, peaceful atmosphere.The host was very accommodating and responsive throughout our stay. We also appreciated that the host’s dad, who lives next door, stopped by to introduce himself and make sure we had everything we needed. That personal touch made us feel very welcome.Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely stay here again if we’re back in the area. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with exceptional hospitality."
