"I stayed for 9 days, it was a very pleasant experience. The staffs are great."

"Kaani Palm beach was excellent hotel. I enjoyed my 3 days with very good breakfast. My room was beach facing with balcony. Clean and resonabily maintained service items. One of the plugs was not work. I repoted and they sent a electrician straightway. A small but decent infinitely pool was very good with excellent views. Face to face communication was very good with the staff. But over the telephone, it was a bit weak. The weakest link is the advise on transfer from the airport to Maafushi is less frequent outside of 7 am to 6 pm, also the costly. Hope some clear information transfers and well published timetables would have been very useful."

"Possitive: Value for money, good location, quite area, good sea view from our room, staff are very helpfull and kind, free pickup/drop off from/to the ship port, very clean, free usage of sea towels, 24/7 reception,shops near the hotel. Negative: Wifi have very bad signal and is very slow, poor breakfast, mosque is behind the hotel, no elevator in the hotel We had a very good stay in Velana hotel. I suggest the hotel."

It's amusing how they try to learn different languages and are fantastic at engaging with tourists in their own languages. I met many wonderful people during my visit. "Salt Beach Hotel is a great budget friendly hotel. As a solo traveler I felt completely safe (due to my laziness I even left my room unlocked for hours at a time when I left to the beach) and felt like I was really cared for. Manoruban was willing to be able to help me with anything I needed, big or small. Ram helping me with taking my luggage to the public ferry was a big help and I could always count on Ram for making my room beautiful. I couldn’t be more grateful for the staff at Salt Beach Hotel and I recommend to anyone visiting Maafushi. Would definitely come again! "

"The property itself is falsely advertised on Expedia. I booked a 4 bedroom accommodation but on arrival only 1 bedroom had been booked by Expedia. They made no attempt to remedy the situation despite being made aware of the problem since day one. They kept passing the buck to their affiliate company Vrbo who also failed to correct my accommodation issue. I had booked a two week stay and the accommodation issue remained for the entire two weeks with no follow- up from either of the two companies and the host too failed to respond to my emails leaving the issue to the property manager to deal with. For two weeks, my party of 4 were occupying 1 room at Aquzz inn as all the hotels on the island were fully booked . The manager at Aquzz was unable to offer me more rooms as they too were fully booked. She was able to provide me with an additional mattress for my 15 and 17 y/o to share in our small room. We were of course very greatful for her kindness and understanding but are completely appalled by Expedia , Verbo and the Aquzz host’s lack of interest in resolving our accommodation issue. As for the staff at Aquzz we give them a 5/5 rating. They were super kind and helpful and very polite at all times. The property however is tired and needs much updating. Female cleaners are required to ensure more attention to detail of shower cubicles,cleaning skirtings and under beds, polishing mirrors and shower glass doors. Food to cater for European palates too."

"It’s a very nice place to stay. Specially the staffs are super. Their hospitality made our trip so memorable. All those staffs are polite, helpful and professional. Specially Mr. Sajol, Mr. Emdad and Mr. Gulzar during our stay, helped us to get resort trip and ocean trip so convenient. Also arranged airport transportation so reasonable and helped to drop our baggage at the speed boat point in very early morning. I definitely book this hotel again and recommend my friends and relatives to visit Nala Island not only for the good hotel itself but also for enjoy the staff’s hospitality. Thank you Nala Island."
