"The only comment I would make is that the public areas have no soft furnishings and the sound travels. Soft close doors would help as you can hear doors on several levels closing. They sound like they are being slammed closed. "

Mascaros - beautiful, large house with own pool

"My extended family of 14 had a wonderful stay at Mascaros . It is a huge 500 year old mansion with thick walls and floors of stone . The rooms were large with high ceilings and the house and kitchen were fully equipped. Outi arranged for neighbor, a chef , to cater a birthday party for us one night which was great and included a paella . There were many nice beaches close by which we drove to and Girona was a close town to visit. The house has many fans to help with cooling and the 2 third floor bedrooms have air conditioning. We stayed in June when Spain was having a heatwave , if the summers continue to be hotter than normal the only suggestion that I would make is providing air conditioning in all of the bedrooms. Otherwise the house is perfect and Outi and Mark great hosts. "

"This place is such a gem. It’s incredibly private, surrounded by farm land. Despite its privacy, you are 5 mins from a fantastic local grocery store with local produce and meat. The house is so artistically restored, with beautiful mementos and artifacts around the house. My family really felt like they were staying in a fantastic, beautiful family home for a week. Roger was also incredibly easy to reach and quick to help with any question or concern. We would love to stay here again. Wheat a pleasure. "
"Very lovely hotel. It was a birthday present for my wife, we were satisfied with everything from the location, meeting and the hotel itself. The rooms have exclusive French cosmetics. The samé mattress and bedding are lovely, which made our mon look great. I believe this is an exclusive vacation in the heart of a small Catalan village. We were helped to book a fabulous restaurant from the Michelin Guide. Just an unforgettable vacation. Definitely recommend!"

"Our group of two families aged from 20 to 60 years had a lovely time in this beautiful home in the heart of characterful Peratallada. It was so convenient for retaurants, bars, and little shops, being located right in the middle of the village. The house was large and comfortable. Beds were super comfortable, air conditioning in all bedrooms was very welcome and worked a treat. The kitchen was very well equipped and we ate many delicious home prepared meals in between our visits to several amazing local restaurants. We worried the pool would be a bit small for us, but it was a good size for us all to cool off after a hot day! We enjoyed a few city days via the easily accessed train station at Flaca and visited several different beaches- Platja Grau in Pals was a favourite for easy accessibility and relaxed vibe. Communication with owners and then agent was brilliant from start to finish. Thank you!"
