"The staff was very friendly. We arrived the morning of check in and actually worked hard in getting us in a room early. Our room was spacious and clean. We had plenty of linen and bathroom items. 24 hour use of microwave, ice, vending machine and laundry. Nice clean well working mini fridge. We had a great experience and definitely would choose them again. Thank you for the great service. "

"If you are looking for quiet, water, and a peaceful experience, this house is for you. Even though there are other houses leading into this location, you never hear nor see them. However, go prepared with all your food as the Adirondacks do not have much amenities. "

"My cousins and I very much enjoyed our 2nd stay at the Matteson’s rental cabin. It’s the perfect home base for a trip to Old Forge. It has everything you need - comfy beds, a nice bathroom with shower, kitchen with fridge, microwave, and regular coffee maker, and a fire pit. We were grateful for the air conditioning too. Bridget is a kind and responsive host. We hope to come back ASAP! :)"

"We were initially hesitant as the property had no reviews but that's only because Pat is just starting to rent it out, so definitely don't let that stop you. In fact, book now before the word on this hidden gem gets out. The house is immaculate and modern but designed with a lodge feel and many cute details throughout. It is spacious, with several common areas both indoors and outdoors - the pictures simply don't do it justice. One unique feature , which we loved is a separate boathouse turned into another large room directly over the water, which is a perfect spot to enjoy the sunsets ,with plenty of space to relax, play games, watch TV etc. My husband actually used it to work for a part of the week - the WiFi was incredibly reliable, even to run Teams calls.There’s a fully stocked, gourmet kitchen with anything you may need to whip up meals , while overlooking the lake. There are a few mom and pop spots just down the road and bigger grocery stores/ restaurants 15-20 mins away.The house is directly lakeside, with very clean , shallow water (for about 15-20 feet) which was perfect for play with our toddler. There is also a swim platform as well as kayaks, a canoe and a paddle board to enjoy the lake and a fire pit for cooler summer nights making smores. Pat is a wonderful host, with communication, helpful with local recommendations and very accommodating. He made sure we had all that we needed for a wonderful stay. We truly didn't want to leave!"

"The cabin was clean, updated, and exactly as described. The host was great with communication and always answered our messages timely. It's in a perfect location too - just about 10 minutes from Otter Creek and about 20 minutes from Old Forge. "

"This is our second time staying here and was amazing again. Perfect location to enjoy the waterpark for families with kids. So easy to get to, owner communication excellent, home has all that you need, once there no need to drive anywhere. Great trip again. "

"Our family ranged in ages 8-80 and all of us had an amazing time! Fishing, paddle boarding, and kayaking was everyone’s favorite past time. The huge dock accommodated all of us. It was especially nice having Old Forge literally right around the corner. The beautiful house was enormous with plenty of room for everyone. This was one of our favorite vacations!"

"My in-laws an my husband were camping in Old Forge for years and this time we got back with our kids to show them Adirondack mountains. Everything was great! The property is big, clean and ready to accept renters. Large fire pit was the place for our evenings with kids and grandparents. The balcony was our place for breakfasts and dinners. Very homie atmosphere. Close proximity to Old Forge. Loved it and will be back for sure!"
