"We had a couple of maintenance issues with the bathroom. The shower holder was loose, and the lighting was minimal, only 1 of the 3 bulbs were working. As a result of the poor lighting, the cleaning staff failing to clean the shower properly. Due to the lack of maintenance staff in the evening, I assisted in the replacement of one of the bulbs, as the concierge would have needed a step ladder to do it. However, despite these challenges, we had a great time, the staff were exceptional, very friendly and helpful, and the biggest plus for us was they were pet friendly. The night concierge was particularly friendly and extremely generous toward our Border Collie, Bodger, who in turn appreciated all the treats. With a bit more investment in the fabric of the building, both internally and externally, the proprietor will have a great little business on their hands."

"Annie and Sam are excellent hosts and very knowledgeable about the area. North Walk House is full of character, it is immaculately clean and the rooms are very homely. The beds are very comfortable. We had a large bay window in our room that showed off the panaramic view of Lynton and Lynmouth. We liked the breakfasts which were cooked from scratch to order, and a treat every day. All food supplied locally. We would definately recommend this hotel and look forward to another visit soon. There is no charge for the parking which is an added bonus and it is well situated in Lynton for walks, and visits to the local area."
