"Galway is a large city. The hotel is down a small alley, not one you can drive down and drop off your bags. I had messaged the property about parking but had no idea where to go. A little directions would have been helpful. I double parked on the road to drop off my bags, visiting from the states, I was in a panic as to where to go. "First off, this is a 700 year old building. I cannot even imagine having to maintain modern facilities in such an old property. That's where the deductions come off for cleanliness and maintenance. "This apartment is exceptionally beautiful! Great for a longer stay with full kitchen, laundry and space! The parking was accessible, however, difficult to find street parking prior to enable a smooth check-in. However, After check out, The Western Hotel allowed us parking in their site so we could continue to roam around prior to leaving the city - greatly appreciated. No A/C so we left the windows open (July travels) in which all of the seagulls of Galway sang and yelled all night long …...

"Beautiful hotel"

"the room was so small you couldn't use the toilet and keep the door closed. Def. do not do a snug room with two people. Also there is no safe for locking passports or anything and the cleaning staff came only 1 time in the 4 days we stayed. The wifi didn't work and there is no front desk so you have to text on whatsapp, but staff never responded despite many attempts. def do not stay here unless youre looking for a hostel vibe"
