"6 star experience. Wow wow wow. We were greeted by Michael, the former mayor of the region, who gave us a behind the scenes tour of this majestic property, complete with views into the Harry Potter themed rooms and historical knowledge of the castle. All staff were super attentive and our room was literally fit for royalty. We went for an early morning hike through the onsite vineyards followed by a champion breakfast served in the courtyard. The castle is an absolute gem and we didn’t realize that it can host conventions, weddings, business retreats and more. These great people and their property deserve your business."

"Superbly located in the centre of all the action. Room was clean, spacious and balcony gave a great view over the track. staff very helpful, good selection of food for breakfast. Could have been maintained better - weeds growing between the slabs on the balcony - and does feel a little dated overall. But we had a super stay and enjoyed our experience."

"Very friendly staff and very helpful, they genuinely want you to have a nice time. The location is beautiful as well as the breakfast was delicious. The room was really spacious, even the corridor leading to the room. Bike rental was easy and inexpensive, beautiful area to go cycling with many cycle routes."

"We were given an upgrade and the room was very nice, although the cost was very high at £180+ , which we assumed was due to the time of year. It was part of an 8 day trip which included 5 hotels and this was almost double the cost of the other, good quality hotels. The hotel and amenities are excellent and I would have awarded a higher rating for the ambience……however we were very disappointed with the set meal at £69 per head. We had invited my husbands mother to join us and felt that it wasn’t value for money. The bar was suffering from staff sickness and service was slow…..but the head barman was very good and apologetic for any inconvenience. Overall a very nice hotel, but expensive."
