Today Tours is the capital of Touraine and was the capital of the Kingdom of France in the 15th and 16th centuries. The city has kept many traces of its past and invites you to discover them. Lined with half-timbered houses and private mansions, this pedestrian square is full of restaurants and cafés. Don't miss the Gothic cathedral of Saint-Gatien, symbol of the city.
