"A great place for a quiet stay"

"Our stay at the barn for couples in Bude could not have been more delightful. It is in a quiet location but very close to the spectacular coastal sights and the coastal path in North Cornwall and North Devon. There are also several walking loops right from the residence around the nearby countryside. It is an excellent spot for birdwatching and relaxing. It is also within a 60-90 minute drive from Tintagel, Dartmoor National Park, and Exeter, in case you wish to venture further. But you will not run out of things to do nearby. Riki was a superb host, providing a wealth of information on nearby sites and communicating promptly. The barn cottage is immaculate and well-appointed. I cannot think of anything I would change about the facility or its environment. We would stay there again at the first opportunity and will recommend it to friends."

"Nice well equipped property with the facilities needed to use it as a base to explore the area and have day trips out from. Good communication from a nice host with suggestions to visit the area and a nice welcome pack which was a nice touch. Property has a freezer which isn't listed (but no ice maker which is listed), a good selection of games and DVDs for the TV in the 2nd bedroom. Good facilities at the site although no facility to pre-book general swimming sessions so might be worth going elsewhere (we went to Bude Leisure Centre about 30 mins drive away as they had a slide and wave machine!) Milky Way Adventure Park 5 mins away is highly recommended, avoid the Big Sheep as that was basically a very expensive soft play and not enough to keep everyone occupied for the day - it cost about 3 times more than it was worth unfortunately!) Overall a nice stay and a pleasant location - recommended! Thanks!"

"We had a great Christmas week staying at the cottage. The cottage was cosy with the log burner and provided for a very comfortable stay. The split of bedrooms worked well for us, we stayed on the top floor with my wife's family on the bottom. There's a large well stocked Kitchen with a big table for us all to sit round. Large glass windows from the Kitchen looking out to the rear and across the hills provided a nice relaxing spot to sit back and enjoy a coffee. Our daughter enjoyed the swing and slide in the garden as well as exploring the wider area, some lovely walks to the local beach and across the hills. The cottage is remote but that added to the charm.Bude is only 20 mins away and we enjoyed exploring the town, some nice cafes/shops and of course the beach etc.A lovely week that will provide us with some fond memories "

"My wife & I have just returned home having spent 3 nights at the Corn Store conversion in Woolley nr Bude. A warm & friendly welcome on arrival from Martin. He was really helpful in giving us an introduction to the accommodation. The accommodation itself is in pristine condition. We both said on the way home that it is the cleanest place we have stayed in and it is testament to the hard work that both Riki & Martin put in to keep it in such high standards. There is everything you need to have a peaceful and relaxing stay. The kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans and utensils. There was enough wood for us to use the wood burner over the 3 nights of our stay. The highlight of the place was the shower. It is superb. A choice of two different shower heads with a huge cubicle to wash in. It was so nice! The mezzanine floor of the place was really lovely too with seating to take in the views of the Cornish countryside. The whole atmosphere of the accommodation was warm, cosey and a place we both wanted to spend time in. It's location is brilliant too. Only a 4-5 minute drive to the village of Kilkhampton and about 12 - 15 minutes drive to the town and beach of Bude. We cannot recommend the Corn Store enough. It is a place that my wife & I wanted to spend time in and one we could relax in. The 10 out 0f 10 clean sweep of reviews on here says it all. It was the reviews that sold it to us both to book our three nights away there. We will be returning for sure. "

"This was a nice little property, which was well maintained and modern. A good base to explore the coastal path, the Tarka Trail, Bideford & surrounding area. Ideal for a short stay."
