We had a car which made it much easier to get to: local quiet beaches; Calvi; evening concerts in hilltop villages; and mountain walks. Would be difficult without a car I think, especially out of high season July/Aug when the trains run more often. For great value you have 5 star swimming pool, spectacular views from the front windows of the whole bay , and all with the charm of a quiet mountain village location . "We have been there end of July/beginning of August, which was very hot. However, the apartment made it still very pleasant: Well functioning A/C, pool as well as very modern and new facilities and furniture. The kitchen is great! There is also regular cleaning of the pool and someone looking after the proprietary. This is a fantastic place. Only downside or advantage (depending on your preference) is that you always need a car for shopping. "

"This apartment is actually part of a hotel, Les Arbousiers. It is as advertised, except the air conditioning (a wall unit) does not effectively cool the bedrooms. Very hot to sleep at night.
