"The hotel is set back from the street with some trees and benches in front so it feels set apart from the busy street. I had tea and snacks in the lobby but did not go to the restaurant which I hear is beautiful. I filled out a survey and mentioned that the room lacked amenities (sewing kit, moisturizer, shower cap, robe). I was surprised to get an email from the manager who mentioned that they would have been happy to supply those things if I had asked. My room did have a clothes steamer which was very convenient since I was attending a wedding and my outfit was wrinkly from my suitcase. Overall, it was a nice stay!"

"The Standard exceeded our expectations! It’s a great escape from the hustle and bustle of NYC, located right near green spaces like the High Line and Little Island. While we weren’t interested in the nearby high-end retail, Greenwich Village was just a short walk away with lots of dining options. The rooms are small and definitely geared just for sleeping, but the dining room on ground floor provided a great space to relax or work. If you're there before 7 AM you can take advantage of the free coffee cart. This area and the adjoining Biergarten were fun, affordable spots for our family. Plus, the location felt safe and convenient enough for our 10-year-old daughter to autonomously walk between our room and the restaurant on her own. For this purpose, the Standard was perfect."

"This is such a wonderful spot!! It was very quiet and comfortable. Plenty of space to hang clothes or put your suitcase out of the way. I interacted with Aisha (sorry if that is not the spelling of your name) who was so lovely and friendly. I would recommend this lovely spot to any solo travelers."
