"We had the most amazing holiday in Almyrida. Villa Iannis was beautiful and the restaurants served great food. We particularly liked Psaros and Francois. The villa was spotless, the pool was bigger than we anticipated and Jan was so kind, helpful and just very lovely. We will be back! The only issue for us was the layout. You can’t see the pool from the villa and there were a lot of steps but our children are 11 and 14 so it was fine for us. Thank you Jan, Dimitra and the Almyrida team ❤️😊"

"A lovely villa in a peaceful tranquil retreat. Wonderful views of the coast and surrounding hills. Watch the Eagles soaring above. Very peaceful you can listen to the wildlife around you. The nearest Taverna is just over a kilometer away but you are unlikely to encounter a car walking there. Beautiful lake nearby to see the fresh water turtles."

"Overall loved the place. There were a few niggles like the garden lights being intentionally turned off detracting from the atmosphere, penny-pinching in the extreme. Not being able to leave the washing machine or dishwasher on when going out because the electricity fob was locked to the door key, very patronising, especially considering the money paid for rental.the location was excellent and the outside ameneties great. Did think more effort could be put into a welcome basket maybe salt pepper...

"Really well equipped and spacious, comfortable villa. Lots of outdoor space and a nice pool. You definitely have to have a car to get around. Close to great places to visit and a good position on the island for visiting major sites."

"Good location within easy walking distance to local amenities/tavernas/bars. A couple of hills on the way back and the old part of Vamos is quite uneven so heals are not such a good idea. Lovely village though, quite quiet and not touristy at all. Definitely one to come back to."

"Villa Tamos is a wonderful, well-equipped, spacious villa in a beautiful setting and we absolutely loved our time there. The pool is as perfect as the view and grounds and Stuart and Lorraine were super-helpful hosts. The villa is well located for exploring Crete and the restaurants/bars/shops of Almyrida are only ten minutes drive away. There is a long unmade track to the property, which needs driving with care, but it's well worth it, and we hope to return one day! Thank you for everything....

"A lovely, comfortable, place to relax and switch off, with the pool to keep the kids happy, and all modern conveniences (and very comfortable beds!). Small grocery shops nearby, and reasonably priced restaurants, too. Rural and reasonably secluded. Enjoyed hearing the sheep across the lane, making friends with the local cats, and seeing large birds of prey above us. We did have to contend with large numbers of wasps and ants, which at times made eating outside difficult, but that will have been...

"This villa is an absolute gem. Set in a rural location it is like an oasis away from everyone else with breathtaking views over the sea. We loved exploring the local area and the tavernas in the village are definitely worth visiting. We all had an amazing holiday and would recommend staying at this villa."

"The villa is amazing. All amenities included, except WiFi. There is an odd request for £50 for this after we booked. The WiFi doesn’t reach upstairs. The pool and gardens are regularly maintained and are beautiful. The view is stunning. It’s an out of the way location, so peaceful but you need a car. Many beaches a short drive away. The villa is well managed and any requests were dealt with immediately. Definitely recommend a stay here for a peaceful holiday."

The pool was excellent and the perfect place to cool off at the end of the day. Check in was easy and when we called the host to figure out the electricity situation it went great.
