"Lovely old style hotel with quirky features. Fantastic location in old town. Not suitable if difficulty with stairs. Air-con not working first night but provided with fan and fixed next day, as was toilet flush mechanism. Excellent breakfast and friendly service. Shame window could not be opened at night as shutters only way of keeping out light. "

There is no parking, but plenty of parking nearby for 10€, we loved the location, next to eating and from reasonable walking distance to Santa Catarina street, and other attractions "

"We loved staying here. Staff was so welcoming, steered us in right direction for food and sightseeing. Had great drinks before dinner at their in- house bar and then walked to dinner. One night at Cruel and one night at Mistu. Both fantastic. We loved our walk back up the hill to the quiet neighborhood where the inn was. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and perfect before set off on foot each day to see the sights. I highly recommend this small, quiet hotel. Thank you for such a nice...

Room was not cleaned last night and ran out of shampoo and toilet paper. Property is being run as a cash cow. Missing light bulb cover, toilet paper holder, soap and conditioner holder in shower, mirror in bathroom too low to see face for shaving. Not enough light over bathroom sink. Etc."

"We have just come back from our Portugal trip. This is by far the best place we stayed in and honestly, I think it is seriously underpriced. We paid half of what I think this place should charge for this amazing gem. Marcus and his wife (so sorry I forgot her name) were wonderful hosts. The place itself is picture-perfect and tranquil. The breakfast was divine, and the rooms were very spacious. The shower was fantastic. I can go on. Definitely an 11 out of 10."

"Our family of four stayed here and thought the property was great! The location is on the upper end of the historic district but was still very walkable and close to many shops and dining options. There was a lot of space for us and our two teenagers to spread out, which is somewhat hard to find in Europe! Definitely recommend for a reasonably priced option for 4!"

"The apartment was sizable for a one bedroom, clean, safe and located in a very central area. Easily walkable to the river and its varied shops and eating places. Also walking distance to the easily walkable bridge that takes you to Gaia de Nova and it’s many port cellars. I would highly recommend a stay in this apartment."
