We had been in the Algarve last year, in Albufeira, so wanted something new...Quarteira was it!!!
We spent a month here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The weather was great, and the people as well.
That which we really appreciated was the location of the apartment, right across the street from the ocean, the same ocean we can see from one of the two balconies of our flat on the third floor.
It is a beautiful promenade along the beach, and because of this location, we made full use of the promenade.There are shops and cafes, pastry shops, pharmacies and a grocery store almost next door. All that you may require is at hand. There is even a farmer's market every Wednesday about one block away, and a ten minute walk to the wonderful indoor fish and vegetable markets. All this to say the location is great!!!
The best part is the apartment with plenty of space to enjoy and entertain, spacious bathroom and bedroom...equipped with a large and very comfortable bed, plenty of closet space, and temperature control unit (air/heating wall mounted unit). There is also the same unit mounted in the living/dining area.The apartment was spotless, the elevator is large enough and the decor tastefully done. It is a safe neighborhood, and the apartment block is secure.
The apartment is fully equipped and offers all possible conveniences.
If anything else is required, rest assured that our wonderful host Guilherme will be there to attend to it.
We would like to thank Guilherme, for his generosity, warm welcome, and the nice little touches which we really really appreciated, such as receiving us on time, and with a complimentary bottle of wine and N espresso pods for our enjoyment. We asked if there was an electric kettle supplied...two days later he appeared with one for our use. He gave us very good info, on local restaurants, things to do, and other necessities.
Another example of Guilherme's kindness was to accomodate us with an extra night in the apartment, since we had erred in our dates for our departure.
We have rented apartments before on this site, but can honestly say this was our best experience, in terms of apartment, location, value for the money, but above all the way we were received and taken care of by Guilherme.
We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to our friends and family.
