"Very impressed with the accommodation, was expecting a family room but we were provided with an appartment that was spacious and comfortable for our short stay. Also did not realise the reasonable cost included access to the spa and pool which were fantastic. The spa had lots to do including 2 saunas, 2 steam rooms, various cold shower settings and a caribean storm shower?! We were also pleasently surprised by the gym which was well kitted out and felt new. The staff were all very friendly and the food was decent too. "

"Stayed in a classic courtyard room 42. Everything spotless. Easy to park close, ground floor for ease of access. Property is a short walk to town centre for the hall for Cornwall with beautiful grounds. "

"Could not believe the lovely view we had of Fistral Beach. Our double balcony overlooked Fistral Beach. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. It would be nice on check-in for them to explain by they charge 50 pounds per night up front."

"A fantastic stay and what an experience! Would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Great friendly welcome and everyone here could not do enough for you. The room was amazing and had the best nights sleep. We had a complimentary soft drink mini bar which was a nice touch. Bathroom was amazing too. We didn't eat here in the evening as had lunch at Rick Steins in Padstow, however, really enjoyed breakfast. Really can't wait to stay here again. THANK YOU Bodmin Jail Hotel, we will be back. "

"Excellent staff"

"It was a lovely stay. Some parts of the hotel needed a bit of attention, but I would return, no doubt. I love the fact it’s an independent hotel. We ate in each night on our 3 night stay, and the quality of the food was fantastic. Also the quality of the bar staff and the reception staff checking in and out. Can’t fault any of them. "
