"We really enjoyed our time at Vidasoul. We wanted to check out the East Cape, look at the ocean, and just relax and we were able to do all that there. Loved chatting with Joan and learned tons from her. The dogs were welcome and didn't need to be on leash. Everyone there was mellow. It is mainly a spot for surfers and divers, but we enjoyed watching them and meeting them. The beach was deserted and we had a great walk with the dogs. The food was good too: fresh and filling. We shared the chicken picata for dinner and had an omlette and huevos rancheros for breakfast. . Joan reminded us of how much work it is to maintain a place on the beach. The salt air is murder on metal, and the dampness lingers. I think they wash the windows every day. Some people (including Joan) don't like all those windows, but we loved them. They bring the ocean almost into the room. We were lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves. It was just what we wanted. This spot is not for everyone. It is spacious and clean, and the beds are comfortable, but it is not luxurious. If you are looking to be pampered, this is not for you. We loved it."

"My wife and I wanted to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and picked this beautiful house located outside La Ribera on the beach near Cabo. We were extremely impressed with how open the main room was, the size of the bedrooms, pool, and cleanliness of the property. Our host, Eva-Marie, included a booklet of information for everything we could think of. From how to operate everthing in the house like the TVs, WiFi, HotTub to things to do (restaurants, fishing, groceries, etc.) around La Ribera. That was great to help us get around and try all the community had to offer. Make sure you have a star/constellation viewing app on your mobile/tablet as the night sky is amazing. There is little to no light pollution in the area and the night sky is filled with stars. It's an amazing sight! We had a fantastic time and can't wait for our next adventure. if you're looking for a great get-a-way where your biggest decision of the morning is "do I get in the pool or the ocean", I would highly recommend The Serene Jewel on the Sea of Cortez!! Our only regret was not having Chef Efrin (from Eva-Marie's welcome booklet) come and prepare us a meal earlier during our stay or we would have had him come and prepare more!! It was fantastic."

We were two families (with two 13yos and two 10yos) and had a wonderful time swimming in the ocean and in the pool, walking on the beach, playing volleyball and horseshoe, and watching the whales and birds. Leo and Gaby were wonderful, very responsive and caring and the dinners were amazing!"
