"perfect location and good value"

"Really nice property. Host checked us in. Really nice room with beautiful views. Recommended places to visit and restaurants to eat at. Advised it would be necessary to book as still quite busy. Would thoroughly recommend staying at the gate. "

"We stayed for 3 nights end of August . And it was brilliant . I liked the fact that it was Adults only as well . Becky and Diane our point of contact during the stay were most welcoming and made us feel at ease . The breakfasts were all freshly prepared and the best I’ve eaten in this country. The choice of breakfasts were great as well and they set us up for the day. There is also a 24/7 coffee machine to help yourself on site which I thought was a great idea . And choice of drinks and snacks at the honesty bar. The cleanliness was second to none . We enjoyed having breakfast on the sheltered terrace but there is also a dining room as well. Some aspects of the interior does need updating especially the room we were in . Which was up in the eaves and was clad in wooden pine reminiscent of a chalet . The other thing with this room was the toilet was extremely small and tight and in fact had just been fashion off the corner of the bedroom . the actual bath and shower were on a different level so you had to go up and down a small flight of stairs which was extremely inconvenient. The wash basin was in the actual bedroom . The room was the only disappointing thing of this hotel . Everything else was excellent. The shower was great and the toiletries were all you could require . We would like to visit again but would stay in a different room . The staff are a credit to this hotel . "

"Truly a magical place to stay and spend more than a few days (a week is ideal) as the atmosphere and area are worth immersing yourself in. I didn't think this location would be convenient, but with the bus stop at Crumplehorn Inn and Mill a 10min stroll away, and Waitrose grocery delivery readily available with timeslots throughout the day, we never felt stressed. All the vibes of a country fishing village (you have to do the hike to Looe!), with all the conveniences of modern life.The place itself is gorgeously placed, as you can tell by the photos. The fixtures reflect a recentish refurbishment, and the kitchen has everything that anyone would need to turn those Waitrose groceries into a celebratory meal. (As an American, I got overzealous with our 1st grocery order, and obviously, didn't need to place a 2nd one, but the kitchen made it so easy, we had to - wish there was a Waitrose in the States).The real gem is the host - he is so helpful, understanding an accommodating, I can't imagine myself being so courteous. Chat msgs were fielded almost instantly, and he even played the role of concierge/travel agent, and setup for us 2 fishing trips out to sea on the William John. On checkout, we misplaced the house keys, and instead of flipping out or charging us a replacement fee, he said "don't worry about it." We found it later in the day, and mailed it back, and that was that. One of the most memorable vrbo stays that we've had as a family."

"Friendly staff. Good standard caravan for bronze. Good pool. Entertainment was too loud...no need to shout when you have a microphone. Kids gather at the front for games and dance, the entertainment staff talk to them through a microphone, but you can hear it 20 miles away, just turn it down a bit, so you can sit at the back of the room without having your eardrums explode!"

"We had such a wonderful stay at this lovely little cottage and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better location. Tucked away in a quiet spot but right in the heart of town, everything we needed was just a short stroll away – the beach within a minute, the harbour for crabbing, and plenty of shops, pubs, and restaurants to enjoy. It really couldn’t be more convenient, yet we still had peaceful evenings and mornings which made it feel like the best of both worlds.The cottage itself was sweetly compact, very neat and tidy, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen had plenty of utensils and cookware which made preparing meals easy, and the whole place was spotlessly clean. The beds were extremely comfortable too, which was a real treat after long days exploring the beaches and coastal paths. Having a parking space included was also a huge bonus and took away any stress of finding somewhere to leave the car.What stood out to us most was just how easy and relaxing our stay felt. Communication from the hosts was excellent, and the cottage worked perfectly for us as a family of three. We genuinely felt at home from the moment we arrived, which made it hard to leave at the end of our trip.We would absolutely love to stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. The location, the comfort, and the charm of the cottage made for a brilliant holiday. If we could make one small suggestion, it would be that a washing machine would be a great addition "

"The whole place, staff and location were above and beyond our expectations. The owner James was so professional and understanding, I had a medical issue whilst I was there and he couldn’t have been more helpful and caring."
