"Well it is old so you will not get all the mod ins. We were there at winter and the electric blankets provided were essential. So in winter it is cold. It is however full of character and the staff very helpful with English spoken at least to a basic level. So for an authentic experience well worth it. They also helped us get a car to the mountain which was great value."

"Although this is my first time using Hotels.com booking, this guesthouse definitely worth to live in. Highly recommended!!! "Don't be fooled by the river view, because that's the only good part of the place. The place looked old and not well maintained. The room was dirty, carpet floor had stains and felt dirty to walk on, toilet looked dirty as well. It was uncomfortable to stay in the place and had to cancel our stay as the place looked rather different from the listing. Yes, the location is near tunxi ancient street but far from everything else, especially to huangshan mountain and honglin/xidi village. Would recommend staying at tangkou instead as there are more food and shops around the area. Definitely would not recommend. "
