"The Chateau de Bellefontaine is beautiful, romantic and a treat. Our "room" was actually a very large bedroom and very large bathroom. We felt like royalty. The grounds are something you read of in old novels. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The on-site restaurant provided a delicious dinner at modest prices. The location is a quick walk into Bayeux (so no worrying about parking in town). We enjoyed our brief (2 night) stay very much and would look forward to staying again."

"This was a great cheap place to stay. The beds were comfortable, pillows were good. And the place was clean. Only dislike was the amount of people smoking in the halls and too.s and right outside our window! As non smokers this is really unpleasant. But in Europe it seems smoking is pretty common still."

"We stayed here for one night whilst visiting various locations in Normandy. What a lovely hotel. Such friendly, helpful staff. We had lunch which was lovely and breakfast was buffet style and plentiful. Rooms quite basic but clean ans tidy and it had everything that was required. "

"The hotel staff made you feel at home and went out of the way to provide a great experience for us. On our last night we had to leave to catch a ferry before breakfast was scheduled to start and when the staff heard this without us asking us they arrange for a to go bag of food and coffee. When we came down the next morning we came to catch our cab. We had a nice breakfast for our long day trip. The stay was wonderful. "
