"This is a super cute cottage, but I’m only giving it four stars because each piece of bedding (sheet, duvet, pillows) on the queen bed had stains on it that looked like food stains or coffee. Also, the tiny loft beds were not a full size twin. Our girls are 14 and 17 and their feet hung off the end. The loft is only meant for tiny kids. The next door neighbor must be a resident, because their toys, trikes, and strollers are strung out all over the yard and they just don’t pick up after themselves. It felt a little too cozy. There are not many dining or shopping options nearby, so definitely bring groceries! If you don’t rent a boat or already have plans for Mahjong or other social activities, Carlton Landing is pretty plain and boring. All in all, this trip was a bust for us."
