Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Great location and very clean!

Easy access to the beach. Entire facility was clean and well taken care of. Location was great for a quiet getaway. Loved that it was away from the packed beaches but a short and easy drive to St. Armond’s Circle one way and Bradenton Beach the other way. Staff was very friendly!

It wasn't enjoyable how often and early the workers were on-site, including on Saturday. There were also multiple worker arguments we could hear throughout the days. 30th Anniversary

Overall our trip was amazing. Saw dolphins and manatees each day. Weather was amazing. Unit was fine for our quick two night stay. Garbage was left in kitchen and had knats all in it. That wasnt pleasant but didnt ruin anything and property manager was very apologetic and offered to buy us breakfast.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wife and I rented a 1 BR suite in Silver Sands Resort on Longboat Key. This is the second time we have stayed at this resort. We love the location and the proximity to the beach. My wife loves walking the beach and looking for seashells. One evening, we got to watch newly hatched sea turtles scrambling down the beach to the water. It was amazing! Room had everything we needed for a long weekend. I like to cook, so my only complaint was that the knives in the kitchen were as dull as butter knives. We will definitely be back.

Dated but acceptable

Small but comfortable. Bed was comfortable and clean. AC was turned down and cool and room was very clean upon arrival. Ground clean. Beach accessories available and convenient. Shuffle board and putt putt were nice and accessories available for all. Pool was clean and accommodating. Cons..ceilings are low. Hit hands on ceiling fan several times taking off shirt. Couch futon definitely WOULD NOT be comfortable to sleep on. Sliding door hard to open and close due to rust I’m assuming. Fridge seems older and rusted in surface areas but worked perfectly fine.

Great View and location, but over priced for every thing else

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While the view is magnificent, the unit is very small and outdated. The Ringling Brothers wall art and furniture is disturbing and very outdated. We had to have the kitchen faucet replaced as it would not work correctly. Appliances are old and dirty. So much furniture in the bedroom makes it hard to maneuver around bed. Blinds on both bedroom window and doorway are broken and don't cover adequetly. Price is obviously for the view, which is great, but over priced in my opinion. Location is great while being able to walk to the beach without crossing main road. Manager is amazing, she was very accommodating, friendly and helpful.

There were not a lot of restaurants within close walking distance. The room we stayed although I appreciated the relevance to the circus we were kind of hoping for a little bit more beachy vibe. They could definitely use a little updating in that respect. I will have to say the bed was hard as a rock and the most uncomfortable one I've ever been on with any vrbo. The beach was amazing and the property manager was pretty knowledgeable about the area as well. We would probably come back and just choose a different unit in the future.

The overall stay was fine. The beach and pool area were exactly as promised. The room had several issues that did take away from the overall experience. The largest issue was the bed. It was very uncomfortable and hard. The air conditioning worked but the humidity was very high in the rooms. The main living area was very cramped and the couch was also uncomfortable to sit on (springs could be felt).
