Accommodations: Cabana Beach Club is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key with several units also located on the bay side. This is an awesome location. Steps from the beach. Pros - location, nicely furnished, rental company was friendly at check-in. Cons - kitchen was not well equipped, pots and pans need replacement, not the cleanest apartment.

The property was everything we needed. Communication with checking in/what to do/ things included in property/ ect made it easy to plan for our vacation. There were a couple of minor things (tv in and out but my husband finally fixed it, low water pressure, and we had no hot water in the shower the whole time) but they weren’t big enough issues to bother us really and we are ready to book our next vacation to the same place!

200 ft to a beautiful beach. The place was super clean and quiet. Wake up every day to looking at the gulf and do not have to go very far once you are on the beach to use the bathroom or get food. The shower water pressure is a little low, but I believe that is just a result of being out on the island. Hey as long as I can rinse the sand off, who cares?

There were many problems within this unit ~ including the bathtub stopper would not work and therefore, we could not take a bath. The icemaker would not work. We were left with a small eight cube tray. The window dividers were caked with mildew and green residue and the windows were not clean. Many of the windows would not open/close. Upholstered furniture was visibly worn. The rod in the bathroom was broken and masking tape was used. The bathroom vanity is broken at the base.

Loved the beach at Cabana Beach Club, and loved the location of this unit within the complex. Decor was wonderful... very beachy. We also got a lot of use out of the screened area as a place to take off beach shoes and leave towels, etc before entering the main area. A bonus at the complex is the laundry building, as well as the grill area. We also enjoyed the pool a lot. There was a Publix not too far away, as you turned right out of the driveway. Farther down the road is a large circle of shopping & dining locations. Most of these are "upscale", but if you're looking for a great place for inexpensive souvenirs, then try Alvin's Island. If you turn left out of the driveway and drive a bit, you will come to an area with more of a "beachy/seaside" feel to it. The kitchen has new appliances, and is stocked with pots & pans, dishes, glasses and silverware. However, there were a couple of little things missing (pizza cutter, measuring cups for dry products, cookie sheet), as well as not having any "kleenex". These were minor issues, and overall we loved this place and would stay here again!
