"The staff were all welcoming and service was excellent. The room was small but surprisingly quiet for a public house. My only significant criticism about the room was that it was cold in the evening and overnight – I had to use the duvets from both single beds. Guests are warned not to change the thermostat on the underfloor heating."

"Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing I would say is because it is a pub it can be a little loud if you are wanting and early night. This didn’t affect us but I know some people it will. The food in the pub was very tasty too. "

"Beautiful hotel, very peaceful and the rooms are done out to a high standard. They do not look tired or well worn it really is a lovely hotel. The staff were really polite and attentive. I really can’t fault the fit and finishing of the whole building and rooms. There was no noise from adjacent rooms which you sometimes get with other hotels. The grounds surrounding the hotel are beautifully kept and there is no road or traffic noise. Really is a great stay and location. Comfy beds slept really really well, and nice to have a fridge and safe as standard. "
