"Having struggled to find accommodation that accepts four dogs, we were thrilled that The Barns allowed two dogs in each cottage. The Barns are set in the most glorious grounds and we loved walking up the long drive talking to the horses and sheep. Both the Coach House and Stables have been beautifully renovated to create very comfortable accommodation. Kerry, our host, was incredibly helpful both before and during our stay. "No welcome ' pack ' not even a bottle of milk. Light fittings missing. Main bed the worst ever experienced. The central heating did not work, we sat in overcoats and blankets. Heating set at 16deg. in the middle of winter !Hostess indifferent , realised her responsibility, refused to speak to us and told the agency to ask us to leave due to heating problems and her concern with her insurance Gave full refund but our stay to be near our family was ruined due to lack of maintenance. We particularly loved the kitchen which was perfect for our family get away. "What a wonderful home from home. Everything you need for a short break away. Comfy beds, lovely bath and shower, great log burner sustainable (air source) heating. Couldn't fault it and would have stayed longer if we could. Some lovely local landmarks including St Botolphs Church and Farnborough Hall just a short walk away. Would highly recommend and look forward to rebooking 👍"
