"The hotel lobby was very dark, being dimly lit. It was ultra modern and lacked the personal touch of a receptionist replaced with people walking around with a tablet to check you in. To leave our luggage before gaining room access cost £15! To check in earlier than 3pm cost £40! The drain in the wet room wasn’t working properly which left the bathroom flooded! No toilet roll holder. Room/beds were clean and comfortable."

"This hotel exceeded all expectations. The breakfast was delicious with many different foods to choose from. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were easily accessible and clean. The location was superb to the tube and walking to many different locations for shopping, dining and having drinks."
The Tower Hotel, by Thistle

"The location of this hotel is excellent right next to the Tower of London andbthe Thames. Whilst the room was very comfortable unfortunately the shower drain could not cope with the shower flow which led to water lying all pver the bathroom floor. We made reception aware when we left and they said the6 would look into it straight away."

"Rooms are not supplied with DND signs. Every morning starting at 8:30 am we got repeated knocks on the door from room service. Despite saying ‘no thanks’ they were back again 15 minutes later. On the last day (of 3) we had late checkout arranged and still they were knocking on the door 90 minutes before we had to vacate the room. In this day and age of smart phones this should not be happening!!"

"This is a really good budget hotel in a central area with lots of amenities. The staff are super friendly and make you feel very welcome. There is the added bonus of a cooked breakfast of bacon and eggs. The rooms are basic but perfectly adequate for a short stay. The communal bathroom is kept very clean and the shower is good with plenty of hot water. I would definately stay here again."

"If it wasn't for the room, honestly this hotel would get a 2 or a 3. I didn't like the attitude of the staff, the place felt like a cattle market-people everywhere-. I'll give you some staff interaction examples: at breakfast the person that seated me didn't make it clear that it was buffet style so I say there like a Muppet for a while until I realised. Also I paid for my parking and the barrier wouldn't let me out, I went back to the reception desk and my car reg was entered again and the barrier still wouldn't let me out (I witnessed this happen to someone else too) but at no point did anyone apologise, it was all very perfunctory and transactional there was no care and no warmth which all led you to feel that your just a number on a conveyor belt."
