Our family of 6 appreciated the spaciousness of this apartment, which includes a large living area and kitchen and two bathrooms. The location is pretty close to a couple bus stops and beautiful Hyde Park, but in hindsight we wish we’d looked for an apartment a little closer to a tube and/or major train station and closer to the historic sites near the Thames.
Cons: This is on a pretty ethnic street, and sometimes we could smell strong food smells from other apartments in the building. Also, the floorboards in some places were coming apart. We also learned the hard way about the typical laundry situation in European rentals—the provided washer/dryer combo is a joke for drying clothes. We just ended up with steamy, damp clothes when using the dry feature, so we ended up line drying all of our clothes on the dining furniture. Also, please note that the washer/dryer is absolutely TINY, so if you’re counting on doing laundry for a large family like we were, take this into consideration.
