"Modern, beautiful, spacious room with all the amenities. The downside is that it gets very warm in the beds. The room door slams shut which is exceptionally disturbing. The ladder for the upper bunk makes a lot of noise which is disturbing. "

"Enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Great location, easy walk from train station with wheelie bags, and walk to town attractions. Our room was small but ideal as a place to put head down after big day walking. The staff were always friendly and always staff cleaning the main areas of hotel. The gym is small but adequate - cost euro 5 to use. The breakfasts seemed very popular and good value judging by the amount of people dining there from early in morning. All in all a really good budget hotel. The only negative is that there are roadworks happening outside so a little noisy and dirty but we were advised of that in an email prior to our arrival Would stay again if I re-visited Ghent. "I loved everything about this hotel. Very good location, parking is easy. Though it would be nice if the hotel had an arrangement with the parking management to have in and out privileges for the hotel guests. Room was spacious, clean. Breakfast was great. Lots of choices. We had lunch there as well, enjoyed surroundings while sited outside. On check out we asked for 2 bottle of waters as we were heading out and to our surprise Alexander, the front desk clerk, treated us with a small bag of Belgian chocolates in addition to 2 water bottles. Chocolates were so goood! Thank you to Alexander from Bulgaria!"

"Staff was very helpful and friendly. Hotel was clean and well kept. My only complaint, and it is not the hotel's fault, is that the bus stop is right in front of the front door and when it rained everyone was standing in the overhang and it made it difficult to exit or enter the main level of the hotel."

"Incredibly convenient hotel. You literally step out of your hotel onto the water front. You can see St Michaels Bridge from the doorway. We absolutely loved Gent and staying at this Marriott Hotel was the icing on the cake. Nothing to dislike."
