The entire place is clean and well kept. Very quiet and the bed was a dream! I slept so well! There was no climate control and the room was hot during the day, which I just opened the windows. At night early morning it got quite cold, so I closed all the windows and I was very comfortable. The restaurant was on the 2nd floor and very nice ambiance. I especially enjoyed the iconic transparent elevator! A very nice touch! I stayed on the 6th floor and truly enjoyed my stay! Very affordable.

Yes, all room amenities were perfect. However, on the fourth floor above me, the owners had a dog that they allow on the balcony that literally bark much of the night, so my sleep was invaded. Also, it was Carnival and they were yelling and screaming part of the night from a balcony. But the breakfast was very good and they had plenty of coffee. I will stay again but probably not during Carnival.

Buena ubicación. Buena relación calidad-precio. El staff amable. Por mejorar algo concretamente, en el desayuno no nos preguntaron cómo preferíamos servirnos los huevos, solo nos sirvieron huevos revueltos. Pensábamos que era así, pero luego nos dimos cuenta cómo sí lo preguntaban a otros huéspedes. Todos nos merecemos el mismo trato desde las pequeñas cosas.

Great location close to sightseeing, food, shopping with a helpful friendly staff. Comfortable clean rooms with a bath that provides a good hot shower. Well worth the money.

The best hotel in Loja in terms of price/quality

Everything was perfect. The staff were very nice from the beginning to the end of our journey. The room was impeccable and the breakfast was delicious. Without a doubt, I will book a room in Hotel Podocarpus next time I will be in Loja.

Hotel bien ubicado

La atención es esmerada, amable. El desayuno es de buena calidad pero un poco frugal, no se colocan o reponen algunos esenciales con la frecuencia esperada (frutas, jugos o zumos, pan). La limpieza y comodidad tuvieron algunos pocos menos (olor al ingreso, demora en el agua caliente), pero fuera de eso muy bien. La ubicación es ideal, cerca de todo, pero eso mismo hace que sea ruidoso de noche y que la vista inmediata no sea la mejor. El precio fue un poco elevado para lo ofrecido, pero fue una reserva de última hora. Muy recomendable para negocios, bueno para familias.
