Slovenia is full of remarkable places to visit. A few hours northeast of Ljubljana, the capital, lies a region of alpine valleys that will take your breath away. I took this photo shortly after sunrise on the ridge between two of those valleys.

Having your own set of wheels certainly makes getting around this area a lot easier. For accommodation I'd recommend Luce, a small town a stone's throw away from the action, where there are a few options.

The trails can be hard to locate and very slippery when covered with snow so tread carefully or, preferably, wait until it disappears.

"Our stay was grate properly is nice and clean. Staff were so nice and professional.Owner is always around meeting with all guest and making sure everything is ok. We were filing that we are welcome and wilt friends. Breakfast is delicious and restaurant for dinner is grate. We made friends with owner and waiter from the restaurant.
