Gem of a hotel

So every now and again you discover a gem of a hotel, this was in that category. Just a few minutes from the motorway, easy to find, centrally located in the town, free and ample parking. On arrival in the hotel, was greeted by a very friendly young lady who checked me in, took my dinner reservation and showed me to me room. The room was a good size for one person, bed was comfortable and the room was modern, bright and well equipped. Dinner was excellent, top service, great food and reasonable prices cant fault a thing. Breakfast the next day was pretty much the same, great start to the day and sadly checking out and leaving, I would say whole heartedly that the next time I am in the area that this will be my go to choice of hotel. Seriously cannot think of a single negative or slightly negative thing to say.

One night stopover in Lockerbie

Everything was very good for a one night bed breakfast with extra dinner booking. The dinner booking for 7pm was very disappointing due to no food till 8pm. However, when the food came it was delicious

Over-priced, over-stated, underwhelming

Very disappointing; overpriced, over-stated, underwhelming. Food was well presented but over-cooked and altogether poor. Certainly not worth the extortionate prices. The reception during check was unwelcoming and the room very small. This stay was part of a group of stays in various hotels, this was the most expensive but sadly the worst.

Great Service and food

stayed for the night, saw the menu online and thats what attracted me. food was fantastice and the 2 girls did a sterling job managing the room. Room was modern and clean. Parking onsite which was great as was on the motobike.

Bak to my Roots

Very Covid conscious - excellent hygiene/cleaning. Food very nice. I had lamb rack which was excellent. Bed was very comfortable. Absolutely no complaints. Wouldn't hesitate to book again if visiting Lockerbie.

We had a lovely stay in the top family room, amazingly comfortable bed. The room was a bit dusty and could do with a little upgrading. However lovely staff, great food and would stay again

Highly recommended, this was a great place to stay. The people were friendly, food was amazing and the rooms were clean and nice with a homely feeling. Overall the hotel feels like home. Will be back if I visit again.

Highly recommended!

Brilliant place to stay, with friendly, cheerful staff. The food is excellent in the hotel, and the breakfast was superb. If you get a room on the top floor, it is a fair climb of steps up! The room was very nice, spacious, coffee and tea making facilities and a very comfy bed. Spotlessly clean. Will certainly stay here again if I'm in the area! Well done the Townhead!

The bedroom had everything necessary, and the bar is comfortable. An obliging staff member found me a wee table for dinner despite being busy at the time. The food was well-cooked and quickly served.

Annandale Way end of first day

This was first stop on Annandale Way walk and a great finish to a days walking. Comfortable bed in clean quiet room. Nice meal with great selection. Read local paper to find it had just won hotel of the year!
