"when I checked into my room at 5pm, all was fine. then I went into Ghent (lovely city) for the evening. when I got back a little after 11pm there was no power/lights in my room. and no staff to help! there was book on the desk in my room with hotel policies etc, but it was horribly outdated as it said to dial the front desk if one had any questions, but of course there are no longer any internal phones in the hotel. the next morning there was finally front desk staff, but they were incompetent...

"Tolle Unterkunft und Location"

"Great hotel with excellent staff. Great food and breakfast as though a little pricey. Location is fairly near the centre and the tram stops close by. Only niggle this time was a noisy aircon unit in my room which woke me up a few time which didn’t get fixed."

"Aanrader in Gent! Voor zowel zakenreis als citytrip!"

"Best high standard of fittings, lovely building and great location. Could not get in car park but minor issue"

"Schönes Zimmer & sehr gutes Frühstück."

"Beautiful house, very convenient for the train station, and the host was very helpful"

"A bright and cheerful place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. A good location for car travellers."

"lively old hotel near gravensteen castle. easy to access all the activities of ghent. Great rooms and friendly front desk. sauna and fitness center a plus"

"Perfect in the city center with car garage"

"Great location, but the rooms are old and need significant updating. The armchair was stained. The bathrooms have been upgraded and are quite nice, but the rest of the room needs a serious face-lift."

"Beautiful building but studenty type accommodation. Practical but not very cosy room. Restaurant and roof terrace was closed on our trip. Also important to know that they withdraw a lump sum out of your bank and hold as a deposit which was strange as no mini bar in room."
