"We had room 109 and it looked out over the water and the lively street but was very quiet. The shower was amazing as were the products. The coffee and tea and snacks were delicious. The bed was very comfy and the room was nice and dark! We didn’t get to explore the hotel at all since we were just there overnight but we would gladly stay there again if we are lucky enuf to return to Oban. What a great little town and a great hotel experience!"

"This guest house is spotlessly clean, the double room with private bathroom was lovely and bright, and looks freshly decorated. The bed was very comfortable, the views over the bay is fab. The bathroom & shower are immaculate, with a very handy light in the mirror which means you don’t need to put the bathroom light on late at night. The guest kitchen is spotlessly clean and the continental breakfast is well worth the money. However, the 4 hangers on a frame are not enough to hang up even 2 days worth of clothes. There is no toilet roll holder in the bathroom and nowhere to hang even the hand towel. I would advise not to book a sea view room if you need to sleep on a dry Saturday night as the rooms are directly over Markie Dans, a very popular pub with additional seating outside, though I must say the atmosphere in the pub is fantastic with great live music. All in all a great wee place."

"Despite how it looks on the outside, this is a very nice hotel. The outside looks rough and needs some attention, but our room was lovely. If you have heavy luggage, be aware that you have to bring it up several stairs to reach the lobby (there is no ramp or lift - the stairs are the only way). The breakfast was good, the people were pleasant, and the amenities were fine. The standout feature of this hotel is the location. Oban is a really lovely town and this hotel is right across from the harbor."

"Really a very nice hotel in a picturesque setting. Very nice rooms, very nice and comfortable beds, clean bathroom with nice hot shower. The best part of the property are the owners, Peter and Shaley. Extremely accommodating and friendly. Cook you a wonderful breakfast. Also Peter makes the best pizzas and burgers. Overall a wonderful experience. 6 stars.would definitely come again. Thanks for your hospitality."

"Perfect spot in Oban. Steps away frm Oban Distillery and the waterfront. The hotel itself is behind and above a beer garden and whisky bar w over 300 whiskys on their wall to try!! Staff was great and helpful. Beds king size and comfortable."
